Sprotbrough Community Library has a good range of services and facilities to offer its members and guest visitors.
Libraries were always about books and our Library still has a large selection of fiction and non fiction books in paperback and hardcover on the shelves as well as large print books, Spoken Word CD’s and a reference section. There is a children’s section with many books organised into levels of reading as well as a junior Non-fiction section. The children’s section has it’s own DVD collection.
Our library has to keep up with the modern digital age so there is free wifi throughout the building giving access to the Internet and free e-books, e-music and e-audio books via the DMBC library service web page. You can access all this on your own laptop, tablet or smart phone, and with all e-material there are no fines as it is automatically deleted after 21 days.
We also have a selection of Reading Well on prescription – a series of books helping you manage your health and well-being in self-help form.
Sprotbrough is not limited to its shelf space – through our online catalogue we can order books on inter library loan or even purchase new books. (Currently unavailable due to COVID restrictions)

You can provide your own paper however please note this does not reduce the fees charged. Documents can also be sent via our fax machine 0r email and we also sell postage stamps.
There is a large meeting room for hire which has blinds on all windows and can be set up with or without tables & chairs. It also has projection facilities. A further large meeting room which can be set up with or without tables and chairs.
