Notice re Temporary Closure of Sprotbrough Community Library
Please note that Sprotbrough Community Library needs to be closed for five weeks for essential building work.
The library will close at 1pm on Saturday 10th September 2016 and re-open at 10.00am on Monday 17th October 2016. During this period there will be no public access to the library.
The due date for return of books and other items loaned from the library will be automatically deferred to 17th October.
Normal library services will be available at other local libraries, including Scawthorpe, Bentley, Woodlands, Warmsworth, Edlington and Mexborough.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this closure. However, this work represents a significant financial commitment to the library both by DMBC and by Sprotbrough Community Library Ltd (SCLL). It is an important investment for the future of the library.
During the closure the lighting will be upgraded to a modern, cost-effective system, the kitchen facilities will be upgraded, and there will be improvements to the public computing facilities and to the meeting rooms.
